One flower on a table can say more than a full bouquet when it has the right vase. The Swan Solitaire Vase is a 24cm single stem vase in gleaming stainless steel, made to show off one flower at a time.
What sets it apart
What to know before it takes its place on the shelf.
- Stands 24cm tall, a small vase made for one flower or a single leaf.
- Holds one stem upright in its slim, angled opening, so there is nothing to arrange.
- Fits on a TV unit, bedside table or windowsill, in a space of 8.3 x 11cm.
- Weighs 535g, so it feels solid in your hand.
- Reflects whatever stands beside it in its high-gloss finish.
- Pairs with the rest of the VAGNBYS Swan family, such as the Mr and Mrs Swan candlesticks.
How it works
When you want a quiet, elegant statement piece instead of a bouquet, one stem in the right vase is enough.
The shape follows a swan: a full, rounded body rising into a slim neck, cut at an angle at the top. Put one stem in it and the vase and the flower become one line.
The Swan family is VAGNBYS's tribute to Denmark's national bird, and the maker sums up this vase in two words: refined simplicity.
Morning sun makes the steel shine, and in the evening it picks up the glow of a lamp.
Who it suits
If you like one good thing on a shelf more than a crowd of them, this is the vase for it: a bedside table, a home office desk, the centre of a dinner table.
A rose from the garden, a stem of fynbos or a strelitzia leaf all look deliberate in it, in any South African home from a flat to a farmhouse.

Frequently Asked Questions
How big is the Swan Solitaire Vase?
It stands 24cm tall, 8.3cm wide and 11cm deep. That is a small bud vase, made for one flower, a single leaf or a slim stem of greenery. For a bunch of flowers, a larger vase is the better fit.
What is the vase made of?
It is made from 430 stainless steel, a tough steel used in many kitchen and home products. The finish is high-gloss silver, and the vase weighs 535g.
Is the Swan Solitaire Vase a good gift?
Yes. Add a single stem from the florist and the vase and flower make a complete present. It is a small vase, 24cm tall, so it suits someone who likes a single stem in view more than a crowded arrangement.
Does it come as a set?
Yes. The Swan Solitaire Vase is also sold as a set of 2, which suits a pair of bedside tables or either end of a mantelpiece.
Whoever always has something from the garden on the kitchen table will fill it the day it arrives. As a birthday or thank-you present it stays on show long after the flowers are gone.
